Sekolah VR Keliling Participates in Jakarta Film Week 2026, Advancing the Use of VR Technology in the Creative Industry
PT WIR ASIA Tbk (WIR Group), through Sekolah VR Keliling (SVK), participated as a Program Collaborator in Jakarta Film Week 2026, held from October 22–25, 2026, at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Jakarta. This participation forms part of SVK’s efforts to introduce the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technology through 360-degree cinematic experiences and interactive content that combines technology, storytelling, and virtual exploration.
Through the JFW Vision program, visitors can experience three 360-degree VR films from Japan, the Philippines, and Australia: Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom, presented in the Interactive VR 360 format; Yellow Fin; and The World Came Flooding In. These films showcase diverse approaches to visual storytelling while introducing immersive cinematic experiences as an alternative to conventional screen-based viewing.
In addition to the international films, SVK is presenting two VR-based experiences developed to provide interactive virtual exploration: Ocean Blue Saver and Planets VR (Virtual Planetarium).
Through Ocean Blue Saver, visitors are invited to explore a marine environment and participate in a virtual mission to clean up ocean waste. The interactive experience connects visitors’ actions with the storyline while introducing the issue of marine pollution through a participatory approach.
Meanwhile, Planets VR offers an exploration of the solar system through space visualization. Using a virtual satellite as a means of exploration, visitors can approach and explore planets one by one in an immersive experience that combines visualization and storytelling.
SVK’s participation in Jakarta Film Week 2026 forms part of WIR Group’s efforts to explore the application of VR technology across various contexts, including education and entertainment. Through interactive content and immersive experiences, SVK continues to introduce alternative approaches to information delivery and digital storytelling, while creating opportunities for collaboration with players across the creative industries.
Through Sekolah VR Keliling, WIR Group continues to explore the use of VR technology to deliver interactive and relevant digital experiences for diverse audiences, particularly in education and entertainment.
