Nusameta, a subsidiary of WIR Group, plays a key role in the development of Metaverse Borobudur, an innovation from BINUS University Semarang that utilizes AI and VR technology to allow visitors to explore Borobudur Temple virtually. BINUS lecturer and researcher, Siti Elda Hierera, introduced VR as a way to learn history with high accuracy, with support from WIR Group. Through the Nusameta ecosystem platform, BINUS is able to present an immersive tourism experience, support higher education, and prepare students for the increasingly digital world of work. Collaboration between lecturers and students in creating Metaverse content also provides an opportunity for interactive learning and technology development, expanding the learning experience and preparing students for the challenges of industry 4.0.
